He wasn't exactly sure what Gundo was doing at the moment, as they waited for the Zamboni to finish clearing the ice. Something that required a lot of gesturing with his hands and a surprising amount of hopping on one foot. It didn't take much for him to lose his balance on the narrow blades of his skates and go careening into Theo.

“Jesus,” he said, managing to keep both of them upright through the power of core strength, stubbornness, and sheer luck.

“Sorry!” the kid said with a wide, toothy grin.

“You good, Levi?” Turner asked. He looked nearly as terrified as he had on TV during draft night. Blond hair falling into wide blue eyes, shoulders curled in like he was trying to make himself smaller. Handsome, in a choir boy sort of way. But Theo shouldn't be having those distracting thoughts, especially about this year's top draft pick.

Drafted number one overall, Ethan Turner was supposed to be the savior of the Columbus Cannons. Instead, he's playing with their farm team, working himself to the bone to make the NHL and pay back the people who supported his career.

By his side is Levi Gundersen, who is just happy to be here and shows it with every bright smile and locker room prank. After coming out and going undrafted, he was sure he'd tanked his chances at a pro hockey career.

Theo Edwards had planned on making the Cannons roster this year. Instead he's back in Cleveland with Turner and Gundersen trailing after him like lost ducklings.

Together they begin to find their footing both on and off the ice. But a kiss and a call-up throw everything into chaos.

Good thing these three are good with chaos.
